Crunching Data

It’s hard for me not to comment on recent news events. Everyone has an opinion, and I don’t like to get into politics, but I do have my thoughts.

What’s been interesting, and it will make it hell for politicians, is that you can upload documents into GPT-4 and have it tell you a few things that are otherwise buried in the report. It doesn’t know when numbers are political. It’s rather tactical and just spits out what it uncovers. What you immediately discover when you update raw verified data is that mainstream media lies to you every day. I’m not sure it’s intentional; it’s just that they don’t do their homework, and apparently, they don’t know “how to work the internet” or “operate that GPT thing” yet.

I’ve been having fun with it because I feel partially vindicated since COVID began and feel like there is proof I wasn’t going crazy where the COVID numbers were not correlating to anything else. I say “partially” because there is still more data to uncover and upload.

Upload the CDC’s own data into GPT-4, and voila! You have your answers, and even that will eventually show irregularities as we get further away from the pandemic. We’ll now see how the government attempts to block those holes as it’s all rather damning. I watched Fauci lie in front of Congress while I had the CDC’s own report right on my desktop and open. He knows the real numbers but also knows nobody will look it up.

This will eventually be very big, which is the real reason our politicians want to get their hands on AI. It has nothing to do with anything other than we can find the lies and do it in seconds, regardless of party line. It’s only going to get better, too, as more LLMs come online to take a crack at the same data.

I’m thrilled that more LLMs are coming online to digest data and we will eventually get all the facts. The truth is the most important thing, and I don’t believe in this nonsense about multiple truths. I never have. The models will sort out the data, and when they conflict with results, they can analyze each other’s results. We’ll get to it!

There will soon be very little use for mainstream media. People have already lost confidence, and the dwindling audience is almost alarming, with no stability in sight. It will be replaced by thousands of different sources, ranked by quality of accuracy and cross-referenced against other findings to get a high probability of accuracy through various LLMs. I think this is all a good thing.

I’m still worried that critical thinking isn’t a class in school. It’s very much lacking, and yet people will still vote, we’re still going to have an overwhelming number living in ignorance because what they believe matters more than data that contradicts them. I’m not married to an outcome. I’m married to accurate data. That’s what I care about, regardless of where the answer lies.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, take the CDC’s own National Vital Statistics Report for 2020. Upload the report as a PDF into GPT-4o, and start asking questions. Welcome to our future!
