Which Way?
I keep thinking about the future under GPT-5 and Grok and what it will mean for all of us. First off, I’m betting that Elon Musk with his X.ai will far surpass ChatGPT as a company. I think he will blow the doors off all competitors because he knows more about managing a high-velocity company better than anyone, and ChatGPT seems to be run by fairly immature management who don’t know what they are doing. I have all that drama thus far as my primary evidence. It’s not the kind of drama you see in well-run companies.
All of Elon’s companies produce fabulous results. With him, there is not much room for celebrating intentions. It’s just cold results. Other CEOs know what a remarkable thing this is, so you don’t hear a lot of criticism about his net results among the experienced. Compare him against Blue Origin. No, compare his results against any other CEO in any field, anywhere in the world.
I’m keeping an eye on X.com and all the political news as it rolls out. The mainstream media is getting caught in their lies as user after user keeps pulling up videos of their contradictions and community noting them so fast that they can’t continue the spin. Meanwhile, X is the most viewed social media platform on the internet, surpassing both Facebook and Instagram. It’s also rapidly becoming the most credible.
Just about everything the government tells us that’s a lie is exposed by quickly-found previous videos and documents that show the contrarian position they took. There is video after video up now proving Kamala Harris claimed she was Indian, and she even did a segment on her heritage at CNN. Whoop! Same with the press claiming she wasn’t the Border Czar. Facts are a pesky thing, and dozens of videos came up with that too. It happens on the right too, so calm down. You’re missing the point, so keep reading.
So, I sit and watch these two forces in play. One, the advances of supercomputers that will not just train on what’s given to them, but at some point, seek historical data and accurate data to remain competitive. It’s a great thing for truth-tellers, but a real bummer for those who want to rewrite history. Elon is making sure the training data is accurate. This will ultimately give him the market advantage.
Have you noticed it’s the communists, Marxists, and socialists (whatever you want to call them) who have the most trouble with Elon? It’s not the entrepreneurs and free thinkers, now is it? It’s the ones who want to control everyone else, the ones who want to tear down his progress on all fronts. It’s the unions, the extreme left, that all have issues with him. Why? What in the world are they so afraid of? He’s solving the very problems they claimed were so urgent!
Here I am, working to remain on top of tech, where it’s going, and to have relevance for my clients, yet I’m watching this fight play out, and for anyone who’s got both feet firmly planted, it’s all a wild thing to watch on X. I have my doubts that Harris will be the final candidate. I still think it will be Michelle, but that’s just me.
All of it is a hard topic to ignore, and I feel like I should be in Vegas placing bets. I’ve had to pause my writing on Substack to let it catch up with my scheduled content. It gives me time to think about all this and hopefully come up with some good topics that aren’t political.
Right now, as I sit here, I have no idea how this will all play out. It’s not just advancements in tech, but also a word in turmoil as political leaders and the deep state fight to remain in power, whoever they are. No wonder the markets are jittery.
